New South Wales will run skilled migration invitation rounds in April 2026 for subclass 190 and subclass 491 visas, urging applicants to update EOIs before strict deadlines.
Investment NSW confirmed it will conduct a Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa invitation round in the week starting 13 April 2026. Applicants must ensure their Expression of Interest (EOI) in SkillSelect is updated by close of business on Sunday, 12 April 2026, to be considered.
A separate invitation round for the Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa under Pathway 2 will follow in the week starting 27 April 2026. Candidates must update their EOIs by close of business on Sunday, 26 April 2026.
Both rounds remain highly competitive, with invitations limited to candidates whose occupations appear on the NSW Skills Lists. Authorities emphasised that invitations will be issued based on the most current information available in SkillSelect at the time of selection.
Migration professionals are advising applicants to review and update their EOIs promptly to maximise their chances of selection.
