Tasmania has opened its full 2025–2026 Skilled Migration State Nomination Program after receiving 1,850 nomination places across two visa categories.
Migration Tasmania confirmed it will issue weekly invitations to skilled candidates, starting immediately. The state has been allocated 1,200 places for the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa and 650 places for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) visa.
Each week, the Migration Tasmania website will publish updates detailing the number of Registrations of Interest (ROIs) invited, lowest scores invited, nomination places available and ROIs on hand. The expanded allocation supports Tasmania’s ongoing effort to attract skilled professionals and strengthen its workforce to meet regional and industry demands.
