Investment NSW will invite skilled migrants to apply for the Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa in early March, urging candidates to update SkillSelect profiles by 1 March 2026.
The invitation round, scheduled for the first week of March, will target eligible applicants seeking nomination from NSW under its Skilled Migration Program. Authorities said invitations will rely on the most current information provided in candidates’ Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
Officials advised applicants and migration professionals to review and update their SkillSelect EOIs by COB on 1 March 2026, Sunday. Updated submissions ensure the state assesses candidates using accurate qualifications, employment details and eligibility data.
The subclass 190 visa allows skilled workers nominated by a state government to live and work permanently in Australia. NSW uses invitation rounds to select candidates who meet its workforce priorities and skills shortages.
However, officials warned the process remains highly competitive. Only applicants whose occupations appear on the NSW Skills List qualify for consideration, and meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an invitation.
NSW conducts invitation rounds periodically throughout the program year, depending on available nomination places and labour market needs.
