Australia will introduce quarterly invitation rounds for the Skilled Independent (subclass 189) visa, with the next round scheduled for 13 November 2025.
The shift to quarterly invitation rounds aims to provide more consistent opportunities for skilled migrants and support workforce demands in priority sectors.
The 189 visa allows highly skilled workers, such as educators, health workers, medical specialists and other professionals, to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia without requiring employer or state sponsorship.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to prepare their documents and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) before the round.
